Sarah Palin has energized the Republican Party and gives the Republican Campaign a 47-45 lead over Obama Bin Biden in the latest Zoby Poll. This survey began on Friday afternoon and Palin’/s entrance into the national race has completely obliterated whatever bounce the Senator from the Weather Underground received during his acceptence speech for the communist party on thursday night.
Governor Palin has awoke the sleeping giant that is the conservative base. The Palin Campaign raised $7 million dollars since whoever the guy at the top of the ticket is announced Governor Palin as his running mate. The conservative base may cling to guns and religion, but they do not cling to their money when One of Their Own is involved in a campaign.
The passion for Palin shows up in the internals of the poll. The guy at the top of the ticket received 89% of Republicans in the last Zogby Poll. After announcing Palin as his running mate that shot up to 92%.
This pick was a call to arms for conservatives. So far, so good.

I would not joke around with a woman who knows how to handle an assault rifle.
Seriously, all you have to know about Palin is how she entered the national stage. This is a real life Dagny Taggart who built herself up from nothing. She beat an incumbent Republican Governor in a closed primary without the support of any party leadership. The Alaska GOP is the equivalent of the New Jersey Democrats in terms of corruption so any New Jersey reader would know just how hard it is to beat a sitting Governor in a primary with no party support. Hell, Rob Andrews had party support and he still lost by almost 30 points in a bid to unseat Frank Lautenberg.
In the general election she was outspent, faced a former Governor in the election and the national Democratic trend and won. Before anyone says it is just Alaska, one the real red states, the Alaska GOP congressional delegation is going to get swept away this fall.
Here is a prediction: She will devour Joe Dirt in the debate this fall.

Did you know that when she was Mayor of Wassila, Alaska, she reduced her own salary and cut property taxes by 60%? Property tax cuts?? That is as alien to New Jersey as air is to a fish.

So last night Barack Obama told the American people that he has not spent his life in the halls of Washington. Well, we all know how true that is, and how little experience Barack Obama has at running anything. But when it comes down to it, the most liberal and most partisan man in the U.S. Senate is Barack Obama. On top of being overwhelmingly liberal Barack Obama is just a typical politican. He may not have spent his whole career in Washington but thats only because he lost his Congress race in 2000 and was serving as a State Senator. Obama attended Ivy League schools, plays golf on a daily basis, caters to any lobbyist for a certain price (cough cough Tony Rezko) and has more than a few questionable friends.
Now lets look at the newest VP candidate Sarah Palin. Palin is a hard working middle class mother of five who instead of befriending corrupt political contributers, fought against them. Palin is a women from the heartland, born in Idaho in 1964, Palin moved to Alaska in her early life and at an early age found that true fiscal conservatism is good for America. She attended the University of Idaho, not some fancy Ivy league school, her family just couldn’t afford it. She has never served in Washington, rather she has served the people that she has governed and done so exceptionally. She told congress to stop unnecessary spending, she believes in the sanctity of life, has a strong connection to her Christian faith and will stop at nothing to make sure America is the best and most affordable place to live. Sarah Palin brings more change than Barack Obama can even dream of. Way to go John McCain, thanks for keeping Americas best interest at heart.

In the greatest day for the conservative movemnt since Ronald Reagan’s re-election, Alaska Governor Sarah Palin is now John McCain’s running mate. It has been twenty years, but we have one of our own on the national stage. We have a real deal rugged individualist, believer in limited government, low taxes and second amendment rights on the ticket.
I wrote previously as to why Palin was the obvious choice so I will not rehash her political benefits, this is for the disaffected conservatives, like myself, who did not plan or were unsure of their support for the Republican ticket. For us, this election is about the future of the Republican Party. You are not supporting John McCain; you are supporting Sarah Palin, a new face for the party and a new champion for the conservative movement, wheather it was in the revolution of 1964 or 1980, that attracted us to the GOP in the first place. Suport Sarah Palin. Support The Movement.

I’m watching the coverage of the McCain VP selection process and even Joe Scarborough is up in arms over a selection of Alaska Governor Sarah Palin as McCain’s running mate because he is terrified of the prospect of Joe Dirt destroying Palin in a debate. Biden is a guy who could not get 5 votes in a Democratic primary.

If you believe smaller government is better government then Ancram, NY is the place to live. The government dissolved last week, and today the city with a bustling population of 1,500 was left with no government at all. So, who’s moving up north?

This post is reponse to a comment left on my last Whitman post that said Meg Whitman is a libertarian leaning Republican. Well if Meg Whitman is in fact a libertarian than it is a good thing. An emphasis on freedom and limited government is something that has been conspiculously lacking from the Republican Party since the day Ronald Reagan left office. John McCain needs all the help he can get on that front because he has disavowed any semblence of conservative prinicple on any issue. An actual economic conservative, and being pro corporation is not the same thing as being pro free market, could do wonders to rehabilitate the Republican Party.
Whitman is a producer who created wealth and created jobs. That stands in stark contrasts to parasites and looters like Obama and Biden who have produced, created and achieved nothing in their life in the actual economy and are nothing but Washington bloodsuckers.
