Pascrell Draws Support from Terrorist Organization

The Council on American-Islamic Relations praised Representative Bill Pascrell [D-8] last Friday. CAIR, which applauded the Congressman for “standing up for Muslims” is known in the United States as a group that supports terrorism. Pascrell should officially denounce the Applause that he has received from the organization and proclaim that he does not stand on the same ground that terrorist supporters stand.

- CAIR’s Director in 1993 attended numerous Hamas meetings within the United States and was put on a federal terrorist watch list.

- Ibrahim Hooper a spokesman for CAIR, told Rachel Neuwirth, a freelance writer that “CAIR does not support Hamas or Hezbollah, Publicly.”

- CAIR Board Member Imam Siraj Wahaj, an un-indicted co-conspirator in the first World Trade Center bombing, has called for replacing the American government with an Islamic caliphate, and warned that America will crumble unless it accepts Islam.

- Senior CAIR employee Randall Todd Royer, a/k/a “Ismail” Royer, pled guilty and was sentenced to twenty years in prison for participating in a network of militant jihadists centered in Northern Virginia. He admitted to aiding and abetting three persons who sought training in a terrorist camp in Pakistan for waging jihad against American troops in Afghanistan.

- CAIR was formed in or about 1994 by Omar Ahmad and Nihad Awad. Then officers of an organization known as the “Islamic Association for Palestine”. In 1998, the director of the FBI’s counter-terrorism unit stated IAP was “a Hamas front… (that is) controlled by Hamas, it brings Hamas leaders to the US, it does propaganda for Hamas.”

Now, in no way, shape, or form do I think it was inappropriate for Bill Pascrell to stand up for Muslims.  It is the mere fact that CAIR has sent praise to the Congressman from the eight district that disturbs me.

CAIR is a terrorist Organization as far as I am concerned, even left wing politicians like Barbara Boxer and Chuck Schumer have condemned CAIR as a terrorist organization. Boxer rescinded an award she gave to a CAIR official in 2006 and claimed “”[CAIR] gives aid to international terrorist groups…To praise an organization because they haven’t been indicted is like somebody saying, “I’m not a crook,”.  Schumer stated in a 2003 Senate Judiciary Subcommittee on terrorism “We know [CAIR] has ties to terrorists…intimate links with Hamas”. If Bill Pascrell does not denounce the praise, it will raise serious concern over his standing with a large Jewish population in the 8th district. I for one live in the 8th district and am an American Jew. I hope for the sake of the American and Jewish people who have been victims of terror that Bill Pascrell publicly denounces this praise and does so with fiery condemnation to the terrorist organization that is CAIR.
