Re: Stop this Madman Named OBAMA

Aaron, you’re onto something.  This guy Obama is dangerous with a capital “D”.  A look at the commencement speech he gave at Wesleyan University was the confessions of a dangerous mind.  Obama gave insight into his philosophy on life and on government, and it should scare the living daylights out of every person who values freedom not only in enterprise, but from government.

Obama said that, “You can take your diploma, walk off this stage, and chase only after the big house and the nice suits and the other things that our money culture says you should buy. You can choose to narrow your concerns and live life in a way that tries to keep your story separate from America’s.”

Why does Obama have such a dim view of people who value material succuess?  Individuals who want the nice things in life earn them by hard work and engaging in activities that other people find valuable.  These “greedy” materialists earn their status by working in industries that, by virtue of their success, are able to employ, not just the rich, but the middle and lower classes as well as offering them uward mobility by virtue of a growing economy.

Obama also said, “It’s because you have an obligation to yourself.  Because our individual salvation depends on collective salvation.  Because thinking only about yourself, fulfilling your immediate wants and needs, betrays a poverty of ambition.  Because it’s only when you hitch your wagon to something larger than yourself that you realize your true potential and discover the role that you’ll play in writing the next great chapter in the American story”

This is collectivism at its finest. It’s also ironic that Obama uses religious language.  If Bush ever used the term salvation, The New York Times would have called for his impeachment.  Obama believes that people can’t achieve on their own and that individual achievement is somehow immoral.  Our individual salvation depends on our collective salvation?  What?  Is this 2008 America or 1928 Russia?  Even in the Christian tradition, which Obama references, salvation is dependent on one’s own good deeds.  If you do right by the world and everyone is an uber sinner, then you go to heaven while everyone else goes to hell in a handbasket.  Good enough for Jesus Christ, but not so much for our new Messiah, Barack Obama.

What did Obama “hitch his wagon to” when he got out of college?  An organization in Chicago that was founded by a man named Saul Alinsky.  Alinsky’s method is described as follows: The agitator’s job, according to Alinsky, is first to bring folks to the “realization” that they are indeed miserable, that their misery is the fault of unresponsive governments or greedy corporations, then help them to bond together to demand what they deserve, and to make such an almighty stink that the dastardly governments and corporations will see imminent “self-interest” in granting whatever it is that will cause the harassment to cease.

This is Obama’s background.  Convincing the poor and the vulnerable that their lot in life is due to evil companies and government not giving them enough handouts.  Obama’s job was to convince the poor people on the south side of Chicago that they needed to agitate for radical redistributive programs.

Obama is a scary candidate on a number of levels.  Fortunately, starting with his long association with hate mongers like Reverand Wright and Father Pleger, the skin is being peeled off the onion.
