When Rob Andrews (D-NJ) challenged incumbent Frank Lautenberg in the New Jersey Democratic primary, he demanded that Lautenberg debate him. Lautenberg’s refusal to accept debates before the week’s final campaign was a major talking point.
How the worm has turned. Andrews’ wife, Camilla, won the Democratic primary in the first congressional district as a placeholder candidate. Camilla Andrews’ opponent, Republican Dale Glading, has challenged her to a series of 6 townhall debates. According to a press release put out by the Glading campaign, Camilla Andrews refused to respond.
Apparently what is good for the goose is not good for the gander.
