Yeah! That’s the Ticket!

The Democrat Party nominated Tommy Flanagan for President. For those of you who don’t remember the prehistoric days of pre HD-TV, Tommy Flanagan was the habitual liar on Saturday Night Live played by John Lovitz who would say anything he needed to weasel out of whatever jam he was in at the moment.

The Obama campaign is channeling their inner-flanagan when today they flip flopped on Flana.. er Obama’s support of the DC handgun ban. Last year, one of his aides told the Chicago Tribune that “…believes that we can recognize and respect the rights of law-abiding gun owners and the right of local communities to enact common sense laws to combat violence and save lives. Obama believes the D.C. handgun law is constitutional.‘”

That was last year. Last year Barack Obama was still sitting in the pews of the Trinity United Church of Christ nodding his head. Last year was God Damn America, and we were living in the US of KKK A. Last year Obama needed street cred amongst the authoritarian big city liberal crowd who hate gun owners and want to take away your right to bear arms so the centralized leviathan has more power. That was last year when he was a mere candidate. This year he is the nominee.

Obama’s campaign offered this response: The Chicago Tribune clip from Nov. 20, 2007, is an inaccurate representation of Obama’s views, according to Burton, because the presumptive Democratic presidential nominee has refrained from developing a position on whether the D.C. gun law runs afoul of the Second Amendment

Great. It takes a lot of guts to say your campaign aide was off the reservation because our champion was too gutless to take a position on the issue.
