There is going to be a new “Big” industry that anti-capitalist Democrats seek to demonize and destroy. We had Big Pharmaceutical, Big Tobacco, Big Oil and soon we will see Big Retail. Wal-Mart has been a model of American business ingenuity and capitalism, yet they are going to face the wrath of the radical socialist left. Wal-Mart is heroically opposing collectivist Democrat-sponsored legislation to eliminate secret balloting for unionization of workers.
Democrats support this bill because unions provide them oodles of campaign cash and foot soldiers for elections. The socialists also support this bill because it is anti-free enterprise. If there is one thing collectivists cannot stand, it is a successful American business. If something is too successful, Democrats wish to burden it. They can burden it with confiscatory tax rates, and in the case of Wal-Mart, unionization.
Unions are parasitic organizations. They infect and destoy from the inside by “bargaining” for outrageous raises, pay scales, hiring and firing practices and healthcare and retirement packages that ruin the host business. If you don’t believe me, check out what has happened to the Auto Industry in Michigan. Unions are second only to FDR in terms of inflicting incurable damage on our country and putting us on the path to second rate status while countries like China and India zoom past us as they concentrate on progress and growing the pie as opposed to redistributing it.
