Palin takes the lead in the latest Zogby Poll

Author: Rory B. Bellows

Sarah Palin has energized the Republican Party and gives the Republican Campaign a 47-45 lead over Obama Bin Biden in the latest Zoby Poll. This survey began on Friday afternoon and Palin’/s entrance into the national race has completely obliterated whatever bounce the Senator from the Weather Underground received during his acceptence speech for the communist party on thursday night.

Governor Palin has awoke the sleeping giant that is the conservative base. The Palin Campaign raised $7 million dollars since whoever the guy at the top of the ticket is announced Governor Palin as his running mate. The conservative base may cling to guns and religion, but they do not cling to their money when One of Their Own is involved in a campaign.

The passion for Palin shows up in the internals of the poll. The guy at the top of the ticket received 89% of Republicans in the last Zogby Poll. After announcing Palin as his running mate that shot up to 92%.

This pick was a call to arms for conservatives. So far, so good.

Hmmmm… sounds like many Alaskans are less than enthused over the selection of Palin:

A reporter for the Anchorage daily, Gregg Erickson, even did an online chat with the Washington Post, in which he revealed that Palin’s approval rating in the state was not the much-touted 80%, but 65% and sinking — and that among journalists who followed her it might be in the “teens.” He added: “I have a hard time seeing how her qualifications stack up against the duties and responsibilities of being president…. I expect her to stick with simple truths. When asked about continued American troop presence in Iraq, she said she knows only one thing about that (I paraphrase): no one has attacked the American homeland since George Bush took the war to Iraq.”

His paper found a number of leading Republican officeholders in the state who mocked Palin’s qualifications. “She’s not prepared to be governor. How can she be prepared to be vice president or president?” said Lyda Green, the president of the State Senate, a Republican from Palin’s hometown of Wasilla. “Look at what she’s done to this state. What would she do to the nation?”

I’m very exciited, and couldn’t be happier that McCain chose Palin!

wow diogenes way to site the HUFFINGTON POST. Do you forget that most of the GOP establishment in Alaska HATES Palin because she went after them. She was the whistleblower for her hometown and state. She outed those Republicans in Wasilla and all of Alaska. Of course politicians are going to hate her. Just one more reason to VOTE for the McCain/Palin ticket.
