Poll: Media Unfair to Sarah Palin

Author: Rory B. Bellows

51% of the public believes the meda is being unfair to Governor Sarah Palin.

In worrisome numbers for democrats, 42% of independent voters say Obama is qualified to be President while 37% say Palin is up to the task. This poll was taken before her homerun speech the other night. The trouble here is that Obama has been a national candidate for two years straight now and the public has seen him first hand answer questions and debate opponents. The public’s exposure to Sarah Palin consisted of a media smear job. The baseline of a candidate with no name recognition is the same as that of a community organizer who filled in 80,000 seat stadium. Rut roh! 24% of respondents said the media’s treatment of Palin made them more likely to vote for her so expect the numbers for he Palin campaign to only increase.

Polls…it’s WORRISOME that some voters will be influenced by the polls instead of thinking for themselves. It’s also a shame that some voters(according to ‘the polls’)are already bypassing McCain by claiming that Palin is more qualified for the PRESIDENTIAL position than Obama. She’s running for VP, isn’t she? Believe it or not, there are some American voters who listen for answers to the issues, not the mud-slinging….and who did nothing BUT that during her ‘homerun speech’? Personal life should have no influence on the election. When Bill Clinton was in office our country was in better financial condition than the mess we’re in now. Although I don’t condone what he did with his personal life, that’s what influenced many that he shouldn’t be our president. I’m sure he isn’t the only president doing ‘immoral things’. He just got caught.
The media hasn’t been kind to Mr. Obama either, remember?
Palin created the part of the problem she’s now dealing with herself. She didn’t hesitate to say that Hilary was a whiner. We don’t need another hypocrite in the White House. It would just be nice to have a president who actually cared about ALL classes of our nation and sincerely wanted us and our country to prosper.
