Democrats introduce Immigration “Reform” Bill

Author: Rory B. Bellows

This is easily the worst congress in our nation’s history. The latest atrocity out of this congress is their immigration reform bill. The goal of this bill is to create as many government jobs and democratic voters as possible. The key features of the legislation are incrased boarder security, more government workers, a stream lined process to encourage family reunification, more low income immigrants who will be legalized into new Democrat Party voters and a commission to look at reforming the process H-1B and H2B visa process.

Now the only real aspeect of our immigration system that needs to be addressed is the H1B and H-2B visas which allow skilled workers to enter our country. How is that addressed? With a commission. A commission is Washington speak for kick the can down the road and do nothing. We have a lack of skilled immigrants so what this congress proposes to do is create more unskilled, low income labor and government jobs. You would have to invent these people if they did not exist.

The Emporer has no clothes

While our congress debates this global warming nonsense this week it is important to note the developments in Australia. Apparently the Australian Senate wil reject its own version of a cap and trade scheme.

From the article:

“There is rising recognition that introduction of a carbon tax under the guise of “cap and trade” will be personally costly, economically disruptive to society and tend to shift classes of jobs offshore. Moreover, despite rising carbon dioxide concentrations, global warming seems to have taken a holiday….

With public perceptions changing so dramatically and quickly it is little wonder Ian Plimer’s latest book, Heaven and Earth, Global Warming: The Missing Science, has been received with such enthusiasm and is into its third print run in as many weeks. [It’s now up to the fifth printing.]

The public is receptive to an exposé of the many mythologies and false claims associated with anthropogenic global warming and are welcoming an authoritative description of planet Earth and its ever-changing climate in readable language.”

Ya think? I guess better late than never but it is astounding that this hysterical fog surrounding “global warming” has clouded the vision of so many normally clear thinking people. Of course it is going to be a huge tax on the population. That is the point. Make CO2 emissions more expensive to try and reduce their levels and you will save the environment! What do you think will happen when you tax CO2 emissions? Only marxists think producers actually pay these costs. Everyone else realize the cost of such legislation is actually born by consumers. Duh!

The pseudo-science on which the Algore’s of the world are trying to scare the public into accepting massive government intervention into the economy is also collapsing. Witness the review of the wonderful book, Heaven and Earth, Global Warming: The Missing Science by one of Australia’s leading global warming adovactes.:

Much of what we have read about climate change, [Plimer] argues, is rubbish, especially the computer modeling on which much current scientific opinion is based, which he describes as “primitive.”…

The Earth’s climate is driven by the receipt and redistribution of solar energy. Despite this crucial relationship, the sun tends to be brushed aside as the most important driver of climate. Calculations on supercomputers are primitive compared with the complex dynamism of the Earth’s climate and ignore the crucial relationship between climate and solar energy.

To reduce modern climate change to one variable, CO2, or a small proportion of one variable—human-induced CO2—is not science. To try to predict the future based on just one variable (CO2) in extraordinarily complex natural systems is folly.

Socialized medicine is now a reality

Say goodbye to America. The anti-American revolutionaries are going to get their way and the destruction of America, begining with socialized medicine, has begun.

I hope Texas secedes.

Congress wants to steal more of your money

Author: Rory B. Bellows

There is an old saying that if something moves you regulate it and if it keeps moving you tax it. The United States Congress can be sure to adhere to this principle, its probably the only one they value, and now they have a new scheme: no more tax free online shopping. Congress is scheduled to debate a

Senate to take up the swindle us package tommorow

Author: Rory B. Bellows

Senate Democrats saw the house’s $819 billion swindle us package and raised it to $900 billion. I guess they think making it a larger, round number will confuse people. Senate Republicans should give this freakish creation the same number of votes their house collegues did. I know that won’t happen because a number of Senate Republicans have tricky contests in 2010, but they should be smart enough to realize that the economy is going to be in the tank this cycle and they can only benefit from being in oppositin to Obama and the Democrats. You want to be against the guys who are going to have to explain to the public why they presied over the second Great Depression.
